"Speech is the most natural form of communication for humans and therefore, the future target communication with machines. Pick-by-voice is already going down this path. From incoming goods to picking and stock transfer to outgoing goods – voice-guided work processes can make their mark everywhere and promote paperless picking and 'freehand' operation,” explains Bernd Jaschinski-Schürmann, Head of Digital Supply Chain Management & Platform Business at Arvato Systems. “Devoca’s pick-by-voice technology is a proven solution that is constantly evolving and harmonizes very well with conventional headsets. Combined with our any-device approach, we can offer our customers a fast and cost-effective set-up with short learning times – independent of hardware and systems.”
“We are gladly entering into this agreement and bringing our cutting-edge solution to German markets together with Arvato Systems. Our solution is proven in many industries, and we are pleased to open a new geographical market with such a strong partner”, comments Devoca’s CEO Leo Hämäläinen. “We look forward to adding value to Arvato Systems’ existing and new customers.”
Pick-by-Voice describes the voice-guided control and execution of order picking. Employees receive information on orders, such as storage location, material, or quantity of items, by voice command. This significantly increases the speed and quality of order processing and optimizes picking processes overall.
