- Cloud computing among the most promising solutions for digital transformation in the economy
As the digital transformation of the economy unfolds, there seems to be no technology more promising than cloud computing. The idea behind cloud services is to avoid the direct purchase of IT infrastructure and software, and instead be able to flexibly access particular services on a network where and when they are required. At the same time, the concept of ‘the cloud’ still elicits questions about security, trustworthiness and legal conformity. The German ministry’s technology program ‘Trusted Cloud’ facilitates the development of innovative, secure, and legally compliant cloud solutions. At the closing conference in Berlin, representatives from industry and media will be on hand during the second week in February to discuss the central success factors involved in digital transformation and to present the strategies that have proved successful in practice.
As part of the congress, ‘Forum 3’ will offer a look into the future. In a panel discussion, industry and media experts will offer potential scenarios for charting a course to the cloud. As a member of the round of experts, arvato Systems CEO Matthias Mierisch (D-A-CH) will represent IT service providers.
One of Mierisch’s main points is that, “The cloud is an essential component in the digital transformation. Our many years of experience with digital transformation solutions show that cloud computing can offer companies sophisticated concepts and strategies that produce long-lasting benefits, as well as the profitable, secure, and efficient support of business practices.”
arvato Systems supports its customers with expert consultation, certified data centers, and multi-award-winning cloud services. These include, for example, the award-winning cloud-enabling service solution Streamworks, the distinction as ‘SAP-certified Provider in Cloud Services,’ and the Best-in-Cloud Award from Computerwoche magazine.
