Fernando Carro, CEO of Arvato, says: “We are laying the foundations for further, sustainable growth of our IT division, Arvato Systems. We will continue to invest in the IT business. On the one hand, we will continue to focus on the development of our successful IT solutions, products and services. On the other, Arvato Systems will serve as a strategic partner to Bertelsmann, taking on important IT infrastructure-related tasks.”
As an IT specialist for digital transformation, Arvato Systems will continue to concentrate on vertical solutions with an industry focus, with a clear emphasis on the expansion of Cloud capabilities.
In addition to a sharper strategic focus, Arvato is also announcing a new management team for its IT unit: The new CEO of Arvato Systems from April 1 will be Matthias Moeller, previously CEO of Arvato Systems Perdata and a member of the Arvato Systems DACH management team. Fernando Carro says: “I am delighted that in Matthias Moeller an internal candidate with the right skillset is taking on this challenging task. I also look forward to working together with him on the implementation of the Arvato Systems strategy.”
Matthias Moeller succeeds Matthias Mierisch, who is leaving Bertelsmann. Fernando Carro says: “I would like to sincerely thank Matthias Mierisch for his more than 28 years of successful work for Arvato and Bertelsmann. Especially in the past year, he has done important work in managing Arvato Systems’ businesses and preparing the new strategy.”
This new, sharpened strategic focus means a sustained strengthening of Arvato Systems as a leading provider of IT services, business solutions and infrastructure services on the market, and also as an internal partner.
