- Arvato Systems now certified as EMVO official Gateway Provider, paving the way for the exchange of master and serialization data across the EU Hub.
- Rollout of Arvato CSDB EU update, enabling over 80 customers to record data in European Verification Systems
Using a pilot customer, the EMVO tested and certified the Arvato CSDB serialization solution connectivity for secure, encrypted transmission of data to the EU Hub. Master and serialization data for each drug were among the information transmitted. Data included the product name, production information and verification data such as the serial number status. The EU Hub serves as the official distribution center, from where the individual National Verification Systems receive their serialization data. This enables national systems to process verification requests from pharmacies and wholesalers.
“EMVO certification for the EU Hub is an important milestone for us and our customers. Secure and seamless data transfer of drug serialization data to the EU Hub means that manufacturers and resellers of pharmaceutical goods are now able to map their prescription drugs processes so as to ensure full compliance with the EU directives by February 9, 2019”, confirms Peter Koop, Vice President Healthcare at Arvato Systems.
All member states of the EU are required to provide a National IT System that enables an end-to-end process within the pharmaceutical sales and distribution chain. Countries connected to the EU Hub with their National Verification Systems are now able to share relevant data.
