Acturion Datasys offers with the Motion LE1600TS a handy Slate-Tablet-PC with a 12.1-Inch-Touchscreen. The intuitive operable Slate is especially designed for operation by professional users with a minimum of handwritten notes. The LE1600TS is ideal for applications in vertical markets like transport, logistics, machinery, mobile PoS, Hotel, Retail and Health Care.
The Slate-Tablet-PC has the measures of a clipboard and can be easily carried and operated while holding it in the arm. The total weight of the Tablet-PC is less than 1.8 kg. The LS1600TS is equipped with a resistive Touchscreen and additional installed Touch-Pack which ensures that the handwriting recognition software works properly. With the help of a special membrane the Slate can discern between a palm on the screen and the tip of a Stylus Pen or finger to enter data into the PC. The Touchscreen simplifies the access to data in the PC and also simplifies the entering of data into the PC.
The LE1600TS is based on the compact and ergonomically optimized design of the Motion Computing LE1600 with digitizer. The Slate-Tablet-PC is equipped with an Intel-Centrino-Mobile Pentium-M-LV-758 CPU running at 1.5GHz, Mobile-Intel-915GMS-ExpressChiset and 2MB L2-Cache. The LS1600TS is also available with an Intel-Celeron-M-ULV-383 CPU running at 1GHz and with 512MB L2-Cache. The Celeron version represents the small budget solution where less CPU performance is required. The LS1600TS always comes with a Microsoft Windows XP Tablet edition installed and has safety features like fingerprint sensor for user Log-In and Trusted-Platform-Module installed with Hardware-Encryption.
With the standard battery the Tablet-PC runs for approx. 3.5 hours. With the extended battery (option) the LE1600TS runs up to 8 hours. The extended battery can be clipped on at the backside of the Slate-Tablet-PC.
For wireless communication the Slate-Tablet-PC offers an Intel PRO/Wireless-2200BG port WiFi with the latest 802.11 a/b/g standard, additionally the LE1600TS has also a Bluetooth class 2 module.
