The need to provide a claim to the name (identity with your company's name or trade mark) has been removed, but the proof of connection to Ireland still remains.

Every eligible private person or company can now select any name, even nick names or phantasy names.

Companies with interest at the Irish market, which cannot comply to this rule, can register Irish-Domains.

Companies, which cannot comply with these rules, may register Irish-Domains. The Irish-Domain is a domain extension without any restriction.
