(pressebox) (Hannover, 06.01.2026) Just in time for Christmas, the residents of Diakonie Himmelsthür in Barsinghausen were treated to a special gift. Scalefree International GmbH from Hanover made a generous donation of items specifically designed to foster community spirit and promote skills in a playful way.

When selecting the gifts, Scalefree placed great emphasis on diversity. Instead of a traditional monetary donation, the company consulted in advance to determine which items would specifically enrich everyday life at the facility. The result is a colorful mix of entertainment, exercise, and educational materials.

From karaoke to memory training

To strengthen social interaction within the residential groups, the donation includes various group games. Highlights include a karaoke box for musical evenings and outdoor classics such as Viking chess, which bring both residents and caregivers together.

Another focus of the donation is on therapeutic support. Special items such as motor skills sets and tactile memory games help to train cognitive abilities and stimulate the senses. Physical activity is also taken care of: games such as cross boules and giant Jenga train agility and integrate movement into the daily routine in a playful way.
