(pressebox) (Olching, 15.01.2013) LASER COMPONENTS offers the right optical filter to reliably seperate UV-A, UV-B and UV-C radiation.
New UV materials make new UV filters possible: The new UV filters allow a transmission of >80%, while at the same time suppressing scattered light up to >700 nm. This is even achieved with a blocking factor of OD5.
Omega Optical, Inc. manufactures UV bandpass filters using a DMRS coating process.
ZrO2, which allows radiation up to 250 nm to pass, is used as the coating material.
Compared to previous products, this combination of material and coating technology allows higher transmission rates, steeper edges, and above all the highest blocking factor. These new filters are developed on a customer-specific basis.
