(pressebox) (Brüggen-Bracht, 16.11.2015) Due to decades of experience with special developments of sensors the disynet was approached to develop an optimal acceleration sensor for the automotive industry.
In the development of the new types 4604M9 (single ax.) & 4630M9 (triax.) and 4604M8 & 4630M8 (without isolation) the advantages of different types of sensors, such as oil-damped bending beam sensors, MEMS-based sensors, different housing types etc. were combined in a single sensor, which also offers an excellent price / performance ratio.

The big challenge in this case was to combine the high demands of a sensor in one single housing with a wide range of applications.

So, for example, should all measuring ranges be enclosed in the same – possible small and lightweight – housing. Another requirement was the interchangeability of single axial and triaxial sensors and sensors from older series by an identical hole pattern – the single axial sensor is only somewhat flatter and lighter. Both sensors have also IP65 protection, so that they can be used in outdoor areas.
Furthermore, in development together with the customer the cable version, shielding and insulation of the housing to improve the signal-to-noise ratio and to avoid ground loops could be optimized. In addition, each channel of the triaxial 4630M8 has its own power supply.
The extremely wide compensated temperature range, specified for -40°C to 100°C and -54°C to 121°C - without options (and therefore no additional cost), enables the use of these sensors for a very wide range of applications.
