(pressebox) (Brüggen-Bracht, 24.09.2015) The EPIH is a highly dynamic pressure sensor in subminiature form. Its very small size makes it ideal for measuring aerodynamic pressure distributions on vehicle and aviation models.

It is available in many different housings with diameters of 1.27mm to 2,36mm, making it one of the smallest pressure sensors in the world. The EPIH has resonant frequencies of up to 1.7 MHz and is therefore suitable for dynamic high frequency measurements.
It is available in pressure ranges from -5 to 300 psi (0-0.35 to 20 bar) and temperature ranges from -40°C up to 80°C.
The EPIH even meets the high quality standards of the BMW Group, where it is already being used successfully. This can be found in the article „Pressure distribution method for ex-situ evaluation of flow distribution in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells“ from Mr. Haase and Mr. Müller in the Journal of Power Sources from 15th April 2015 (page 612 - 620).

Though designed for dry gas, the optional Parylene or RTV coating makes suitable for various liquid media. On request a version with additional temperature compensation is available. The optional additional in-line amplifier model 140 with auto-zero function, is an ideal match.

Typical applications are flow fields measurements in wind tunnels, in the aerospace and automobile industry or in fuel cell research.
