(pressebox) (Brüggen-Bracht, 11.03.2015) The Model 3054B is a unique biaxial miniature IEPE accelerometer for vibration measurement in tubes. The sensor measures transverse acceleration of the tube. They can be used in tubes with a diameter of only 8.1mm up to 12m deep. Models for larger pipe diameters up to 23,7mm are available as well. The accelerometer uses 8 springs attached to the sensor body, to fix the sensor snugly inside the tube, even in case of uneven inner tube (e.g. due to some buildup of foreign materials within the tube).

The two quartz measuring elements of the biaxial 3054B operate in shear mode. Units are internally isolated from the sensor case and enclosed by a faraday shield for electrostatic noise immunity.

The sensor has a weight of only 7.2 gram, a nominal sensitivity of 25mV / g, a measurement range of ± 200 g and a frequency range of 2 to 500 Hz (± 10%).

Typical applications are e.g. vibration measurement of tubes in chillers, nuclear power plants, heat transfer tubes, air conditioners, cooling towers, large chillers or power stations.

Supplied accessories: a 15,2cm insertion rod adaptor (6565A) and a 1,22m insertion rod extender (6565A1)
