"Good sound makes listening to music an experience " - Concert recording at the renowned company "Raum&Klang" in Chemnitz with high-end microphones Made in Gefell

An essential requirement for good sound is perfect recording technology. This was also the case recently with a concert recording at the company "Raum&Klang" using high-end mics from Microtech Gefell. The supporting microphone in front of the acoustic 8-string guitar was a UM 92.1S large diaphragm tube microphone. The room microphones were an XY stereo arrangement of two M 300 microphones. The guitarist in the photo is Torsten Turinsky, technician Nic Hermann from Correlation Sound.

Generation 4 - The new microphone system from Gefell at the Studioszene 2023 in Hamburg

Studioscene is the community event for audio engineers, producers and home recorders. Over 50 top audio brands present their gear directly for testing. This year, Studioszene will take place from 17 to 19 October at the Hamburg Exhibition Center. The new microphone system will include an ultra-compact microphone amplifier with two alternative connectors and four microphone capsules with different polar patterns as well as the matching accessories for different applications.

Together with its long-standing partner Sinus Messtechnik GmbH, MTG actively participated as exhibitor at the ICSV29 congress exhibition of noise and vibration control technologies, organised by the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration and the Society of Acoustic. GearFest went very well, so concluded Managing Director of Sound-Link ProAudio Ltd., the UK MTG studio microphon partner. A special Highligt was the legendary CMV 563 - M 7 S, the original reissue of the vintage Gefell CMV 563 with the the typical warm, full-bodied sound of valve studio mics. Another highlight was the M 990 large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone, preferred by vocalists and soloists and suitable for difficult radio play productions or as a support for orchestral recordings.
