The dynamic infrastructure - possibilities and potential

ttec virtualisation roadshow goes into the next round

(PresseBox) (Nijmegen, ) The ttec virtualisation roadshow is to be held for the third time in succession. Roadshow stations include Groot-Bijgaarden in Belgium and Utrecht, Netherlands. These oneday events follow up on the theme of last year's roadshow and will show visitors how to optimise the potential of virtual infrastructures. The ttec roadshow is aimed at IT administrators who are planning to update their system as well as those who are considering entering the world of virtualisation. Information on the agenda and free registration are available at

Virtualisation is the first step on the way to an efficient and dynamic infrastructure. This year, ttec experts will focus on what a reliable environment design can look like, where virtualisation makes sense and how customers can utilise this potential. Besides technical information, ttec also focuses on economical aspects and concentrates on issues such as amortisation, return on investment, breakeven point and fullcost accounting.

Marc van Schijndel, Netherlands Country Manager at ttec Computers, comments: "For users to gain the efficiency benefits of virtualisation, system administrators must have specific knowhow. Virtualisation is a daily tool used by many IT administrators. However, only 15 - 25% of the potential of virtualisation is utilised regardless of whether it's used for servers, desktops, applications or storage. This year, we'll demonstrate what the new infrastructures can really do."

The subjects to be dealt with this year include:
Storage concepts for the dynamic infrastructure
Server virtualisation - which potentials are untapped
Backup strategies - backup in heterogeneous environment
The dynamic workstation - desktop virtualisation & application virtualisation
