SYSGO announced today a formal distributor agreement with Italian company MICROTASK Embedded

(PresseBox) (Paris/Mainz/Milano, ) SYSGO announced today a formal distributor agreement with Italian company MICROTASK Embedded. SYSGO is a leading supplier of software solutions for the world's most demanding safety and security applications. MICROTASK Embedded specializes in providing top quality assistance in all phases of the development lifecycle for embedded applications.

With an annual growth of 40%, SYSGO is expanding quickly and sees an increasing demand for its solutions in numerous territories. In order to efficiently address all new opportunities in the Italian market, SYSGO is now partnering with MICROTASK Embedded, which has a complimentary level of quality standards and expertise in the embedded/real-time domain. The agreement allows MICROTASK Embedded to be the exclusive reseller in Italy of PikeOS and ELinOS products as well as any related services.

"The current success of PikeOS and ELinOS product lines makes us very ambitious for the coming years", said Bruno Privat, European Sales Director at SYSGO. "Our growth strategy is based on a well defined distribution channels policy and carefully selected partners. That's why we are so pleased to have MICROTASK Embedded on our team: their reputation speaks for itself and they have the experience and knowledge of mission critical applications in the key sectors of mil/aero, transportation, or medical that we require from our partners."

MICROTASK Embedded has built a successful business by providing their customers with well integrated solutions from requirements specifications to coding and testing for embedded projects development, with top-level post-sale technical support. In particular, they have in particular developed great expertise in safety critical applications for certification according to DO178B, DO254, or IEC61508 standards. This expertise represents a good fit with certifiable PikeOS products.

"We have observed with interest the growing popularity of SYSGO's products in Europe", declares Marco Cavallaro, General Manager at MICROTASK Embedded. "Because of our focus on safe and secure embedded systems, we have a precise idea of customers' requirements in this area and we are convinced by SYSGO's offering, not only by the very innovative virtualization platform PikeOS but also by the industrial grade embedded Linux ELinOS. We are very excited by our new agreement with SYSGO which allows us to offer these solutions to our customers."

PikeOS is a ground-breaking product providing an embedded systems platform where multiple virtual machines can run simultaneously in a secure environment. This secure virtualization technology allows multiple operating system APIs to run independently and concurrently on one machine - for example an ARINC-653 application together with Linux - which makes PikeOS the only RTOS providing a comparable field-proven solution today. The PikeOS safe and secure virtualization RTOS platform provides the widest range of operational guest operating system or run- time environment "personalities" on the market.

The PikeOS microkernel architecture is ideal for cost sensitive, resource constrained devices as well as large, complex systems. The simplicity and compactness of the PikeOS design results in real-time performance that competes head-to-head with conventional proprietary RTOS solutions while offering innovations in platform independence.
PikeOS is certifiable to the DO-178B avionics safety standard, and is also compliant with the Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) standard.

ELinOS is a Linux based development environment designed for the creation of intelligent devices. Unlike traditional Linux implementations, SYSGO's ELinOS is purpose-built for use in demanding industrial applications. SYSGO has contributed 15+ years of field expertise to making an embedded Linux offering well suited for complex real-world applications. This deep experience also allows SYSGO to back up their Linux customers with world-class support.

Both products include CODEO, an Eclipse-based integrated development environment that provides guided configuration, remote debugging (often down to the hardware instruction level), target monitoring, remote application deployment, and timing analyses in addition to standard application development features such as compilers and assemblers.
