Siemens concludes framework agreement with Enel Green Power for 260 wind turbines
Agreement for 600 megawatts of onshore wind turbines, with an option of a second equivalent delivery
"Siemens is already market leader for offshore wind power. Through this agreement with Enel Green Power we are closer to our goal of being one of the top three suppliers in the overall market for wind power by 2012," said René Umlauft, CEO of the Renewable Energy Division in Siemens' Energy Sector. The wind turbines are required by Enel Green Power for wind farms in Italy, France, on the Iberian Peninsula and in Greece, Romania and Bulgaria.
