Seoul Semiconductor Acriche lights National Museum of South Korea

National Museum, located in South Korea, installed interior lightings fixtures with Acriche of Seoul Semiconductor in the cultural center / Expected 75~85% of energy saving comparing with conventional halogen lamps

(PresseBox) (Korea , ) The global leading LED manufacturer, Seoul Semiconductor (CEO Chung Hoon Lee, www.acriche.com), announced lighting fixtures with Acriche, AC-driven solid state light, was installed in a bookstore inside of cultural center on the first floor and a souvenir in National Museum located in South Korea. DELICIA, a brand of First System Korea Networks("F/S Korea Networks") as a supplier of LED lighting fixtures with Acirche, said this release was completed on 23rd December, 2008.

According to F/S Korea Networks, as a starting point from National Museum of South Korea, replacement projects with Acriche lighting fixtures in other 12 museums are planned. Also, F/S Korea Networks gained the priority to install Acriche lighting fixtures afterward in the facility of the Ministry of Cultures, Sports, and Tourisms of South Korea.

Acriche, adopted into the lightings of this national museum of South Korea, is a AC-driven solid state light different from general DC-driven LED requiring AC/DC converters when operated. The strong points of AC-driven Acriche is not only to make itself to be installed easily without converters , but to solve a problem regarding to life span shortened by converters with 10k~20k hrs by maximizing its life span, 30k~40k hrs.

Acriche demonstrated its innovative technology inside and outside of the country. Acriche has been awarded in ' Newtech Korea 2008' and nominated 'Korea Ten Best New Technologies of 2008' in December 2008. In 2006, Acriche was also named as "Product of the Year" by Elektronik in 2006, one of the most prestigious electronics publications in Europe.

This LED fixture replacement in National Museum of South Korea will bring over 75~85% energy saving comparing with existing halogen lamps. Since LED fixture does not generate ultraviolet and infrared rays, detected in from conventional halogen lamps and harmful not only to human body but to exhibits. This point is expected to increase supply of Acriche.
