MicroScribe® Desktop Digitizers Available Again!
There has always been and still is a large need for accurate and flexible but affordable digitizers to bridge the gap between low cost scanners and expensive high end solutions. Combined with RSI's MicroScan® laser head, MicroScribe® can be recommended for up to 80% of all scanning and measurement applications.
There was no doubt that, after Immersion Corporation, developer of the MicroScribe®, made the decision to close production and focus on new activities a solution had to be found to ensure future availability of MicroScribe® digitizers. As our US software partner Revware, Inc. has informed us, Revware has taken over MicroScribe® business and will soon begin production of new units. Worldwide distribution channels will reopen in the near future, and direct orders are already being accepted.
As in the past, dealers and end-users can rely on RSI as their sales and support partner for MicroScribe® and MicroScan® products. Should questions arise regarding the new situation and future planning please let us know. Also, if you are in need of a MicroScribe® or MicroScan®, don't hesitate to order now, as during the start-up phase delivery times can not reliably be predicted. We still have units in stock here (six degrees of freedom only).
