Variety and Innovation from RPC
Emballage 2012 preview - RPC Group, Hall 6, Stand M108
Four specialist RPC clusters - RPC Barrier Containers, Bebo, Blow Moulding and Superfos - will be represented at the exhibition. Highlights on the stand include the latest innovations in barrier technologies for the food industry, a new stackable 10 litre industrial container, and recent developments in paint and surface coating packs. RPC will also demonstrate the variety of sustainability initiatives that the company is incorporating into pack development and manufacturing.
RPC Blow Moulding Moirans will launch a state-of-the-art stackable 10 litre container that offers excellent functionality and strength to UN approved standards combined with a large decoration area for effective branding. Its light weight construction in particular gives the container an enhanced environmental profile.
The wide choice of barrier solutions within RPC - such as the award-winning SuperLock container from RPC Superfos, Euro Squeeze bottle and Thermic Ultra and Classic retortable jars from RPC Blow Moulding and Royale Bowls from RPC Bebo - mean ambient, long shelf life packaging solutions can be tailored to the precise needs of individual products and applications, including hot fill, pasteurisation and sterilisation. All RPC packs ensure convenience, easy opening and safe handling in busy kitchen environments to deliver a light weight and more flexible alternative to traditional materials.
Paint container solutions on show from RPC Superfos include FlakeFree texture, the Easy Open lid system with tamper evidence and new smaller sizes to 1.1 litres for the company's rectangular SuperCube range.
RPC continues to focus on initiatives to minimise the environmental impact of its packaging solutions. This includes the ongoing lightweighting of its product ranges, one of the most recent examples being the new Elight 5 litre blow moulded HDPE container from RPC Gent which has reduced the weight of a standard jerry can by a further 15%. RPC is equally pro-active in the incorporation of post-consumer and post-industrial recycled material into its containers while the innovative CO2 Calculator developed by RPC Superfos and independently certified by the Carbon Trust enables customers to establish the carbon footprint of its packaging solutions.
As well as the availability of bespoke customised designs to project brand image and maximise on-shelf impact, RPC will also demonstrate a variety of decoration options including all-over lid printing for tubs via its Bebo Print technology, and in-mould labelling.
