RPC Halstead and Llantrisant grow garden care success together

(PresseBox) (Hereford, ) Westland Horticulture has re-vamped its Resolva 24H weed control concentrate range with a new bespoke pack from RPC.

Two further brands utilising the same pack have also been added to their successful catalogue, with the introduction of Nutri plant food range and Hero, a path and decking cleaner.

The challenging brief called for an integrated pack that would provide the consumer with a variety of benefits to improve their experience of using the product. These included a child resistant closure, a pouring spout, a measuring cap and the addition of an EPE ring to eliminate leakage.

RPC Design worked closely with Westland Horticulture on the bottle design. The cap is produced and supplied direct from RPC Halstead and the bottles from RPC Llantrisant. The closure is delivered to the customer assembled from two injection moulded components and the EPE ring. The doser section has been designed so that with some modification to the bottles it can be used as a one-piece cap.

There are three bottles in the range - 250ml, 500ml and 1 litre - with each bottle using the same closure to give a family appearance. The bottles are blow-moulded in HDPE at RPC Llantrisant and the user-friendly shape means they are easy to handle for left or right handed people.

Part of the design brief was to ensure that the bottle would optimise the brand's on-shelf visual appeal. This has been achieved with a large surface area which presents each of the brand's strong images to the customer.

The packs are decorated with a high-quality printed shrink film, hiding the top of the wrap between the shoulder of the bottle and the bottom of the cap.

"We continually strive to launch products that are innovative and exciting. we worked closely with RPC on packaging which will make sure we're in an ideal position to maximise the potential of the brand," says Naomi Whicher of Westland Horticulture.
