Plambeck Neue Energien AG completely redeems 2004/2009 convertible bond

Original total par value of 23,5 mill. Euro / Outstanding residue to the amount of 16.3 mill. Euro punctually and completely redeemed

(PresseBox) (Cuxhaven, ) The wind-farm planner Plambeck Neue Energien AG (News/Aktienkurs) has punctually redeemed the outstanding residual amount of the 2004/2009 convertible bond. Of the original amount of 23.5 Euro, around 16.3 mill. were redeemed on maturity. Some of the investors had already made use of the conversion right and exchanged bonds against shares during the term of the bond. Alongside this, the company had re-acquired some of the papers on the capital market as a result of the favourable price level.

The convertible bond issued in March 2004 had borne interest at 6 per cent during its term, the conversion price had been 3.75 Euro. As early as the previous fiscal year, Plambeck Neue Energien AG had anticipated the complete redemption of the convertible bond for reasons of precaution and had formed a corresponding liquidity reserve for this purpose.

Plambeck Neue Energien AG with its headquarters in Cuxhaven plans and implements wind-farm projects on land (onshore) and at sea (offshore). The key competence of the company is the development, projecting, implementation and financing of wind-farms and their operation and sale with subsequent service. Up to now, the enterprise has set up 88 wind-farms with 503 wind-energy systems and a total nominal output of 699 MW.

Alongside the business activity on the established German market, the company is increasingly expanding into dynamic growth markets. Via joint ventures, Plambeck Neue Energien AG is already represented in Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, Great Britain, Ireland and Romania. In these countries, wind farm projects with a nominal output of up to 1,430 MW are under development and are to be realized in the medium term. Furthermore a subsidiary is founded in the USA. In Germany (onshore) wind-farm projects with a nominal output of more than 400 MW are under development, of which 82 MW are under construction.

Over and above this, Plambeck Neue Energien AG develops offshore wind-farm projects, of which two major projects in German waters have already been approved. Entry to promising foreign markets is also being examined for the offshore area.
