Under the scope of the contract, Nokia Siemens Networks will supply its compact, energyefficient and LTEready Flexi Multiradio Base Stations. In addition to enabling higher network capacity and faster mobile broadband services, these base stations allow "active sharing"*** between operators to improve efficiency.
Nokia Siemens Networks will provide network implementation and managed services to ensure a smooth rollout, improved network performance and seamless introduction of new services. The company will also provide its NetAct network management system to monitor, manage and optimize the 3G/HSPA+ network, and supply other operational support systems.
Nokia Siemens Networks can rapidly deliver 3G in India, thanks to its incountry 3G manufacturing facility at Chennai. It already serves many of the world's leading 3G operators from its Global Network Solutions Centers located in Noida and Chennai, and these centers will be able to support TTSL from day one.
Nokia Siemens Networks' research and development center in Bengaluru drives 3Grelated initiatives for both the domestic and international market. The company has already set up 3G test labs in India, trained more than 3,200 Indiabased 3G technology experts and carried out site surveys for 3G network deployments.
