Quick professional help for busy kitchen life

Miele front and throughfeed dishwashers for a wide range of requirements

(PresseBox) (Gütersloh, ) Employees in the kitchens of old people's homes need professional help washing the dishes. To cope with this task, Miele has reliable helpmates on offer: Frontloading and throughfeed dishwashers ideally suited for either wardend or main kitchens.

The Miele frontloading G 8066 tank dishwasher, for example, is ideal for wardend kitchens and is available as a freestanding or builtunder machine. It can wash a basket with 22 plates in 90 seconds ('Short' programme); the 'Standard' and 'Intensive' programmes take 120 and 180 seconds respectively. All Miele frontloading tank dishwashers feature an automatic selfcleaning programme which ensures a hygienically clean cabinet. Manual cleaning is no longer necessary.

The reliable cleaning performance of the G 8066 is, above all, down to the rotating spray arms developed by Miele. This system consists of two sets of wash and rinse spray arms, one each at the top and bottom of the cabinet, and ensures optimum distribution of water. The arrangement of the spray arms and additional and repositioned spray nozzles on the arms ensure a sparkling finish. The G 8066 features a pressure booster pump for the rinse cycle as standard so that results are independent of water supply pressure. This pump also ensures good dishwashing results even when water pressure fluctuates. This has been confirmed by Germany's WfK materials testing institute which, in a series of trials, tested the Miele machine against four competitors' frontloading tank dishwashers over ten wash cycles in compliance with the VGG test method (developed by the German Association of Dishwasher Manufacturers). In these tests, the G 8066 was the machine with the best cleaning performance in the industry.

Rotating spray arms for all Miele tank dishwashers

The other Miele tank dishwashers also feature the rotating spray arm system. The new frontloading PG 8067 tank dishwasher requires only 60 seconds (Standard: 90 seconds, Intensive: 120 seconds), to clean approx. 3000 glasses per hour. Miele offers flexible plastic and wire baskets with dividers to ensure that all types of glassware are held securely in place during washing.

Electronic controls with membrane switches on both frontloading tank dishwashers allow for simple operation. A glance at the display immediately reveals the machine's operating status at any given time. Extensive special programming options, such as altering the rinse temperature, optimise rinse performance in special applications and protect temperaturesensitive glassware and plastic items.

Professional water treatment systems ensure sparkling results without polishing

It makes sense to use a professional, compact water treatment system, also available from Miele, to provide water to frontloading tank dishwashers. Reverse osmosis systems provide fully demineralised water which ensure that manually polishing cutlery becomes a thing of the past. This system treats up to 160 l of water per hour and, depending on size, is installed either in a side unit or in a plinth on a floor tray which can also accommodate two detergent canisters. A further benefit is that there are no costs for reactivation as there is no need to replace demineralisation cartridges. This means higher initial expenditure is recouped after a short time. Pretreated water also saves detergent and protects the dishwasher.

The Miele G 8072 throughfeed tank dishwasher is indispensable in commercial kitchens. This machine offers particularly high cleaning performance with a throughput capacity of up to 1320 plates per hour. This model features rotating spray arms and optical indicators for detergent and rinse aid. The G 8072 features a pressure booster pump for the rinse as standard so that results are independent of supply line pressure. This pump ensures in particular that water pressure does not fluctuate during rinsing.

Throughfeed tank dishwashers offer a choice of three dishwashing programmes (Short: 60 seconds, Standard: 120 seconds and Intensive: 180 seconds). These machines also feature an automatic selfcleaning programme.

Display located in a userfriendly position

A clear, concise display located in a userfriendly position on the upper reaches of the hood provides information on operating status. Special functions can be called up at the touch of a button, such as reduction of the rinse temperature from 85°C to 65°C. This ensures the correct temperature can always be selected to suit the appropriate application. Dispenser settings and water hardness can also be adjusted using the membrane switches on the control panel.

Added user convenience is offered by the ergonomic designer handles which curl from the side to the front of the unit. These sloping handles can be easily reached by users of different heights when opening and closing the machine.

Energy consumption and heat losses are low on the G 8072 thanks to the doubleskin hood. A Monobloc water softener is available as an optional extra. It ensures limefree water and regeneration takes place during normal dishwashing programmes. Hence, there is no need to run a separate reactivation programme.
