Matica Technologies AG, a leading international ID solutions provider, announces today two new group appointments:

- Regional Sales Director, System Division, Asia

Regional Director, Printer Division, Asia - Mr. Kenneth Cheung
Senior Sales Executive Appointed as Matica's New Regional Director of Asia

Matica Technologies Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth Cheung as the new Regional Director for the Printer Division in Asia effective 4th August, 2014. He will lead the entire Asian Printer Team and be the responsible for all Matica's subsidiaries in Asia.

Kenneth was lately the Director of Asia Pacific Smart Card Association (APSCA) before joining Matica, promoting applications of smart technologies in the areas of electronic identity, secure access, NFC, mobile and innovative payment as well as urban mobility. In this capacity, he has worked closely with industry leaders like NXP, Infineon, ST Microelectronics, Gemalto, Visa and MasterCard, etc.

Prior to APSCA, Kenneth was the Director of Sales for HID Global's Fargo brand taking care of the Asia Pacific Region. During his six-year tenure, Kenneth was engaged in many prominent card programs such as Asia's first on-demand picture card issuance program of MasterCard and the world's first instant personalized gift card issuance project for Homeplus in Korea. Other major card projects under his leadership include Beijing Olympics, Foreign Worker's ID Card Project in Taiwan, Vehicle Identification Project in Guangdong Province under the supervision of Ministry of Communications, People's Republic of China as well as New South Wales Drivers' License, to name a few.

Matica's Senior Sales Executive to lead the System Sales Team in Asia

At the same time, Matica is pleased to announce that Mr. Antonio D'Albore has been appointed as the new Regional Sales Director responsible for the sales of Matica's complete system product portfolio in the Asian Region.

Antonio most recently served in Matica Systems S.p.A. as Regional Director for the East Asia territory. He helped develop the systems business into a leading position in the card issuance market in Asia. Prior to being in this position, Antonio was Sales Director Middle East & Asia Pacific at IPM Group, a leading developer of custom made card-enabled self service machines. He started his career at Incard, an international supplier of smartcard and continued at STMicroelectronics managing sales of chips and solutions for smartcard in Asia. Since his entry into the card industry in 1997, he has been involved in the card issuance business on an international scale in various leading positions.
