Perfect solutions for weaving preparation in India

Presentation of KARL MAYER's reorganised warp preparation business unit during a series of symposia held in India on the 19, 21 and 23 January

(PresseBox) (Obertshausen, ) KARL MAYER's Warp Preparation Section continues to focus on providing an excellent customer service, and has recently been reorganised to make it even more efficient. Its operations were presented during the course of a series of papers presented in India in January of this year. In the last few months, the Warp Preparation Division has taken over the weaving preparation machinery of a number of manufacturers (Benninger, Sucker and Griffin). As part of these takeovers, the marketing and sales operations were adapted to cater for the extended range of products, and a new service organisation was set up in India. The company would now like to unveil these changes to the market, which is why KARL MAYER decided to travel to visit its customers in India.

The Weaving Preparation Symposium held by this wellknown textile machinery producer began with an event held in the town of Silvassa in the Vapi district on 19 January, being followed two days later by an event in Ludhiana and by a symposium in Erode in the southern Indian region of Tamil Nadu on 23 January. The company, A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited, was responsible for organising the event. KARL MAYER's longterm overseas agent was responsible for ensuring that everything went smoothly in the three locations, and guaranteed that a large number of participants attended. In each case, between 120 and 150 textile specialists from the various regions, including existing and potential customers, eagerly accepted the invitation and were keen to foster the transfer of knowhow - and they were not disappointed.

During the events KARL MAYER outlined the new structure of its extended Warp Preparation business unit and explained the changed product policy. Main focus was on the presentation of a number of machines that are of particular interest to the Indian market, especially concentrating on machines for sizing, beaming, sectional warping and sample warping.

The extended range of machines is supported by a new service organisation. With KARL MAYER India Pvt. Ltd, KARL MAYER has set up an independent company especially for supporting its customers in India, which will cooperate closely with the group's service centres in Hong Kong and China - an offer meeting with the audience's wide response.

A.T.E. was presented as a reliable service provider to the textile sector, responsible for selling and marketing KARL MAYER's entire range of machinery, including the recent acquisitions from Benninger, Sucker and Griffin.

The Weaving Preparation Symposium enabled KARL MAYER to showcase the new services available in India from its enlarged Warp Preparation section, and also to clarify any questions. Those customers who used to obtain services from Sucker, Benninger and Griffin soon came to realise that KARL MAYER would be a highly committed, dependable partner and confirmed their commitment to future cooperation.

Discussions held with people attending the symposium confirmed that KARL MAYER was taking the right approach. The company's highly productive warp preparation machines are ideally suited to the hightech looms being operated by modern companies, and they also guarantee a high level of output even in traditional weaving mills. They are just the right type of machines to cater for the economic recovery that India is currently preparing for. The beaming and sizing machines in particular formed a key element in many of the discussions held during the symposium, and also in many negotiations for machines that took place in the booth. Contracts to buy a number of KARL MAYER products were also signed during these events.
