IX Reach Makes Remote Peering at France-IX Easy

IX Reach, global network connectivity solutions provider and remote peering specialist, and major Internet Exchange Point, France-IX, have enjoyed a strong and successful partnership since IX Reach became an official reseller of the latter in December 2012. Now, through an insightful case study video, they highlight the benefits of connecting to the French grown IXP and the plans both companies have for growth in 2014.

IX Reach made its entrance onto the French peering scene 13 months ago by offering free 100Mbps circuits to France-IX for a limited time, which proved to be highly popular -  bringing in over 15 members in two weeks. Since then, IX Reach has consistently enjoyed the number one reseller spot.

As a remote peering expert and industry leader within this field, Head of Marketing, Ruth Plater, was invited to France-IX’s offices, to take part in a video case study on behalf of IX Reach to highlight the role IX Reach plays in France-IX’s growing position in the European peering marketplace.

Ruth Plater commented, “We’re very pleased to be working so closely with France-IX – they’re a great Internet Exchange to be associated with, from their varied list of members and their redundant infrastructure, to their excellent 24/7 NOC team and well organised meetings. I very much enjoyed working with France-IX to produce this video case study, and I hope it helps encourage more people to join France-IX so they too can benefit from being a member of this thriving Exchange.”

France-IX has over 230 members on 250 ports with peak traffic of over 250Gbps, making it one of the largest IXPs in Europe. IX Reach provides capacities from 100Mbps to multiple 10Gbps from any of its on-net locations over its comprehensive global MPLS Ethernet network, opening up the country to the rest of the world.
