Imtech: new orders worth 60 million euro in Eastern Europe

(PresseBox) (Hamburg, ) Gouda - In line with the Imtech strategy, Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) aims to achieve further growth in a number of East European countries and is becoming increasingly active in Poland, Russia and Romania. The market is being monitored from Germany as well as from regional offices in among others Warsaw, Gdansk, Bucharest and St Petersburg. Imtech has recently acquired new orders amounting to 60 million euro.

Poland: strong position leads to growth

Imtech is one of the largest technical services providers in Poland. The Polish market for electrical engineering, ICT and mechanical engineering is developing fast. This is further enhanced by the extra investments in connection with Poland's hosting of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. Imtech stands out from the competition by operating as provider of total solutions in complex technological projects. This approach has proven to be successful. Imtech was recently appointed technology partner for all technical solutions (energy, comfort, fire safety and prevention, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, all electrical solutions and ICT infrastructure) for equipping the 190-metre-high skyscraper 'Zlota 44' in the centre of Warsaw with state-of-the-art technology. Imtech specialises in not only the technology in new buildings, but also in technical management and maintenance. A maintenance contract was recently secured with Shell Polska for 33 Shell buildings in north-eastern Poland. Imtech also concentrates its efforts on the further penetration of the industrial market, focusing on existing German clients as well as new Polish clients. New orders were secured for the provision of the technical infrastructure at new production locations of Volkswagen and Robert Bosch/Denso.

Russia: a breakthrough in the care sector

In Russia, too, Imtech concentrates on special technological projects. A breakthrough was made in the care sector with the design and engineering contract for all technology in the new 'Moskovski Medicinski Centar' (Moscow Medical Centre), also known in Moscow as the 'Clinic for new medical technologies'. This ultramodern hospital covers an area of almost 30,000-m2 and has the ambience of a luxury hotel.

Romania: steady growth

Imtech has been active in Romania for seven years. The activities are characterised by constant growth. One of the latest orders was for the complete technological renovation of the five-star Interconti Hotel in Bucharest. Imtech has developed a special formula for the hotel sector that enables hotels to continue business as usual, even while major technical renovations are underway. The renovation work at Interconti Hotel causes no disruption and 75 percent of the complex remains available to guests.
