Imtech: increasing number of Dutch ICT outsourcing contracts

(PresseBox) (Gouda, the Netherlands, ) Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) announces that it recently has won several ICT (Information and Communication Technology) outsourcing contracts in the Netherlands.

Thanks to ICT outsourcing customers receive the guarantee of high-quality ICT support and the assurance of continuity of their ICT infrastructure. Outsourcing benefits for customers include lower costs, greater flexibility, more certainty and higher availability through the continuous monitoring of systems. This relieves customers of all the burdens of managing and maintaining ICT assets and allows them to concentrate on their core business.

Zuwe Hofpoort Hospital, the Netherlands

Imtech (Imtech ICT) and the Zuwe Hofpoort Hospital in Woerden in the Netherlands recently agreed on a five-year contract that covers the outsourcing of a large proportion of the ICT managed services at the hospital. Zuwe Hofpoort is an enterprising hospital with 1,250 employees, 95 specialists and a wide range of standard hospital care with specialised know-how in virtually all fields of medicine. By outsourcing its ICT functions the hospital can concentrate completely on caring for its patients. Imtech ICT will be responsible for fully managing the ICT front-office and back-office environment. This includes 800 workstations and approximately 100 servers. Under the agreement a number of ICT specialists of the Zuwe Hofpoort Hospital will join Imtech ICT on the payroll. The value of this contract amounts to 4 million euro.

Other ICT outsourcing contracts

Imtech has signed a contract with floor specialist Interface for the professional management and maintenance of the WebSphere Commerce environment. These are the business-to-business websites for communication and interaction with the retailers of interface. With undertaker Monuta a contract has been signed for expertise in Lotus/WebSphere in new applications, application management and the use of innovative portal technology. FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe BV (one of FUJIFILM's largest manufacturing locations outside Japan) has assigned Imtech to be preferred partner in the area of collaboration platforms. These are among other things, workflow, project and document management applications. Imtech has also concluded long-term maintenance and management agreements with Eurofiber and Arboned for their data and telecommunication infrastructures. The total value of these contracts comes to almost 8 million euro.

Earlier on Imtech also won long-term ICT outsourcing contracts with Mercedes-Benz Netherlands, publisher Royal Wegener and Humanitas DMH. Mercedes-Benz Netherlands is outsourcing its entire ICT infrastructure to Imtech. Royal Wegener did the same for all its data and telephone services that will be integrated in a new infrastructure based entirely on the Internet Protocol (IP). Humanitas DMH is outsourcing management of its complete back-office. The total value of these contracts amounts to almost 10 million euro.
