People make the difference
EPTDA’s 10th Annual Convention proves it
19-21 September approx. 375 participants gather to magical Monaco to be blown away by the thought-provoking speeches, seminars and social programme. EPTDA’s 10th Annual Convention has so far broken all previous records in terms of participant figures, publicity and achievements. Over 70% of the associations members are present - many of them together with their spouses.
This is another groundbreaking Annual Convention for the association which prepares itself to celebrate its 10th Anniversary in 2008 – stronger and more active than ever before. The Convention theme “People Make the Difference” is clearly visible in all EPTDA’s initiatives and achievements. Known for its pioneering spirit and forerunner attitude, the association is enjoying a robust growth also in terms of membership figures – already 21 new members have joined EPTDA in 2007.
The Annual Convention gives a chance to celebrate a year which has been especially rich in realizing and initialising new ideas. This year the association has successfully launched a partnership with UNICEF and EPTDA’s own ethical guidelines as well as the Motion Control showcase at the Convention. It has also started to monitor the European legislative environment strategically. After all EU is a source of approximately 70-80 % of the legislation that governs our everyday life and business practices. Another major initiative is EPTDA’s own Learning Institute – ELI. It is yet another tangible membership benefit offering tailored education for the members. Besides this, EPTDA has moved its offices to new facilities.
With nearly 200 member companies, EPTDA represents the Power Transmission/Motion Control (PT/MC) companies over Europe and beyond. EPTDA members are based in Central and Eastern Europe, UK, the USA and the Middle East. After this spectacular Annual Convention, EPTDA member companies will be gearing up to celebrate Association’s 10th Anniversary in 2008 in Brussels - facing the global challenges and embracing new opportunities.
