Focus on Electromobility and Autonomous Driving
dSPACE to present numerous innovations at embedded world 2017
Fuse data from environment sensors in compact prototyping hardware
Save time by driving millions of test kilometers in a PC cluster
Even more compact and flexible SCALEXIO real-time systems for any lab space
dSPACE’s presentation at this year’s embedded world is dedicated entirely to electromobility and autonomous driving. At the leading trade fair for embedded systems, which starts today in Nuremberg, the industry pioneer presents three innovative products that demonstrate how the challenges of these and other industry trends can be mastered efficiently and safely.
MicroAutoBox Embedded SPU
The first of the products making their debut at embedded world is the new MicroAutoBox Embedded SPU. This compact and robust prototyping hardware lets users conveniently and synchronously process and fuse the data of the many environment sensors of highly automated vehicles. By combining very powerful processing units with interfaces for all important sensors and vehicle busses and the graphical RTMaps software environment, it provides a unique all-in-one solution for the efficient development of functions for autonomous driving.
Moreover, dSPACE is showing visitors how to use cluster simulation to frontload millions of test kilometers for alternative propulsion systems and autonomous driving functions to a PC, and simulate them even faster than in real time. The automated use of multiple instances of the PC-based simulation platform dSPACE VEOS in a PC cluster makes it possible to run a high number of simulations simultaneously. The many test kilometers in this early development stage result in a very high software quality even before HIL tests and real test drives are carried out.
DS6001 Processor Board
A third debut rounds off dSPACE’s presentation at the trade fair: The new SCALEXIO DS6001 Processor Board, a very powerful real-time computer in the form of a compact board, now allows for even more flexible and compact system setups. With only few steps, it can be directly integrated into a compatible SCALEXIO LabBox chassis together with additional I/O boards. This gives users the best possible space-performance ratio, be it on a desk or in a 19’’ rack.
At embedded world 2017, you can find dSPACE in hall 4, booth 316.
