BOY XS - great showing planned at MICRONORA 2012

(PresseBox) (Neustadt-Fernthal, ) The BOY XS, the smallest BOY injection moulding machine, will be presented at the MICRONORA international micro technology fair in Besancon, France from the 25th to the 28th of September. In the booth of their French distributor béwé-plast S.A. the BOX XS (clamping force 100 kN) will demonstrate its full capability and resilience.

During the precise production of micro parts, the 12mm plasticizing unit is enormously advantageous. Small injection volumes of up to 0,1 cm³ can be dosed precisely with exacting repeatability. The dynamics of the injection behavior is very high. Due to a small screw diameter and optimized screw geometry, the dwell time of the plastic in this plasticizing unit is reduced about 50 % when compared with the 14mm plasticizing unit. A decrease of the thermal load of the material is achieved. Therefore, the variety of workable materials is expanded and technically sophisticated plastics can be used. Precision and quality consistency are clearly improved.

Attention should be paid to the ultra-compact dimensions of the BOY XS. With a footprint of only 0,8 m² (0,64 m² for the BOY XS V) and a clamping force of 100 kN, it is ideally suited for micro injection moulding and sprueless single cavity moulding. The multi-patented high end Procan ALPHA control, equipped with a touch-screen, fulfills the maximum requirements for ease of use, speed and precision.
