Agreement concluded with Ludan Environmental Technologies Ltd. and Biopower S.A.

(PresseBox) (Bielefeld, ) The Management Board of BIOGAS NORD AG located in Bielefeld has concluded an agreement with Ludan Environmental Technologies Ltd. and Biopower S.A. (referred to as "investors"). The agreement allows the investors to grant an interest-bearing loan of up to 1.5 million euros with a term of two years to BIOGAS NORD AG or its subsidiary, BIOGAS NORD Anlagenbau GmbH. The loan is being granted by both investors in equal parts. Furthermore, the investors have committed to further investment provided still to be specified conditions are met and additional agreements are concluded. Subject to approval from the relevant boards of both parties, further investment could under certain circumstances lead to investors having a material influence on BIOGAS NORD AG.

Ludan Environmental Technologies Ltd. is a company based near Tel Aviv (Israel) and is a subsidiary of Ludan Engineering Co. Ltd. (, a company listed on the stock exchange in Tel Aviv. Ludan Engineering Co. Ltd. is the parent company of the Ludan Group, which provides integrated solutions for industry plant construction, environmental technology as well as energy and system applications.

Biopower S.A. is a company based in Warsaw (Poland) and is a member of the European Business Power Group(EBP). Biopower's renewable energies activities are pooled in the group. In the next few years, Biopower is aiming to build a number of biogas plants using the know-how and technology of BIOGAS NORD and is targeting market leadership in Poland.

Enspar Biogas GmbH

BIOGAS NORD AG is one of the largest technology suppliers in the biogas industry. The services provided by the enterprise and its more than 160 employees encompass all areas of biogas technology, from concept development, detailed planning, construction of facilities, to operations and support services. The Bielefeld enterprise has already grown significantly in the last few years. More than 180 biogas facilities have been planned, built or developed since 1995. Currently about 50 additional biogas facilities are in the construction, approval or planning phase in Germany, the Netherlands, Belarus, the United States, England, Italy, Spain, Romania, Cuba, India and Thailand. The electric power installed in BIOGAS NORD biogas facilities comprises more than 75 megawatts (MW), with which almost 200,000 households can be provided with electricity or heat from regenerative energy.
