Optimum support in South China
Inauguration of the new Arburg subsidiary in Shenzhen/ Management to attend ceremony
The management team was represented by Managing Director Sales, Helmut Heinson, and the Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai subsidiaries were represented by their respective Managers, Sunny Poon, David Chan und Zhao Tong. A total of 120 customers and official representatives from worlds of politics, business and society had been invited to the festivities. The official inauguration ceremony included all the typical Chinese and Asian elements: After the reception at 3 PM and the inauguration speeches by Helmut Heinson, Subsidiary Manager, Max Man and William Chiang from Sunshine as a representative of the local Arburg customers, a toast was proposed and the inauguration ribbon cut by the guests of honour in attendance. A traditional lion dance, a tour of the premises and a banquet with live music followed.
Best infrastructure conditions In order to ensure comprehensive support for South China and the customers based in the region in accordance with the high Arburg standard, the Lossburg corporate identity has been adopted as the basis for the architectural and design features. Accordingly, a perfectly equipped subsidiary has been created over an area of some 500 square metres, including a testing centre for customers, a presentation room, applications technology area, spare parts store as well as an administration tract for management, sales and finance. Subsidiary Manager Max Man currently has a team of eleven employees at his disposal in order to support this large and important region of China. Additional service technicians from the Hong Kong subsidiary support the Shenzhen team, and can consequently react promptly. Many plastics processing companies are based in South China, providing a great potential for high-end injection moulding technology from the Black Forest.
Boomtown Shenzhen With its new subsidiary, Arburg is locating to one of the fastest growing regions in China. The city of Shenzhen, with a population of eight million, is situated in the greater Hong Kong area and is the communication bridge between China mainland and Hong Kong. The location in the region, the optimum transport links and the fact that many electronics and plastic processing companies are based here are the factors which moved the decision-makers at Arburg to make this strategic step. At the inauguration event, the guests were presented two high-tech Allrounders, a hydraulic Allrounder 420 C Golden Edition with a clamping force of 1000 kN and a 290 injection unit on which a precision part made from POM will be produced for use in the office machine sector as well as an electric Allrounder 320 A 500-170. Here, demands and reality meet perfectly, as the high-tech Chinese market increasingly requires modular, individually adaptable injection moulding machines at the highest technological level at the best possible price/performance ratio.
Helmut Heinson wishes the subsidiary a good start In his inauguration speech, Helmut Heinson, Managing Director Sales, focussed on the subject of South China as a growth region and wished Max Man and the entire Arburg team a good start and successful business. Arburg's commitment illustrates the great importance that the Chinese market has for the company. The three subsidiaries clearly evidence the fact that Arburg regards its commitment to China as a long term one that fits into its strategic plans. The success and prospects in this country will also contribute significantly to Arburg's success.
Third subsidiary demonstrates Arburg's interest in the Chinese growth market Heinson sees China as a future market for high tech squarely in the company's focus. "In China, there is a huge demand for high technology of the kind that Arburg supplies world-wide in the injection moulding technology segment. We have long been highly successful on the Chinese market through our subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Shanghai. However, to achieve even greater customer proximity, we have now opened the Shenzhen subsidiary for the South China region. Our objective is clear: to serve the entire Chinese plastics market with the same high service quality and fast availability as we do on the markets in Europe or the USA. Our experienced support and service team will cater both to Western companies with production sites in China as well as to the emerging Chinese plastics industry, 90 per cent of which is currently concentrated in the South China area."
