Arburg presents powder injection moulding expertise in Shanghai

Experts meet at the PM Asia

(PresseBox) (Loßburg , ) From 6 to 8 April 2009, Arburg will be presenting its extensive powder injection moulding (PIM) range to Chinese trade visitors on Stands B15 & B16 at the PM Asia in the Shanghai Everbright Convention Center. The competent Arburg team will be at hand on the exhibition stand to provide advice.

"For us, the PM Asia is an excellent platform for presenting Arburg's expertise and product range in the powder injection moulding sector," says Zhao Tong, Manager of the Arburg subsidiary in Shanghai, with conviction. He goes on to explain that the Chinese PIM market is characterised by constant growth. He adds that Arburg is focusing not merely on machine sales, but is offering companies complete production solutions including comprehensive services that cover all aspects of the PIM process. Chinese customers greatly appreciate these services in his experience.

Expert presentation dealing with PIM-specific questions In addition to a consulting team from Arburg's Shanghai subsidiary, the company's member of staff responsible for PIM sales, Uwe Haupt, will also be available to answer questions. An important aspect of trade fairs such as this is a technical exchange of opinions between experts: "At our exhibition stand, we can not only explain the potential of this innovative process, but also deal with individual technical questions in detail."

In a specialist presentation, Uwe Haupt will discuss the subject of "Requirements for injection moulding equipment for micro PIM". Here, he will talk about special measures to adapt moulds, machines and automation and tackle these in depth. Furthermore, he will explain the various features in detail and back the information up with extensive application examples.

Extensive areas of application As a pioneer of powder injection moulding, Arburg still continues to develop new areas of application for this innovative process today. For this purpose, Arburg has an excellently-equipped laboratory at its new Customer Center in Lossburg, Germany, with appropriate equipment for all powder injection moulding operations: from material mixing and preparation through injection moulding to debinding and sintering of the moulded parts. Special PIM training courses complete the comprehensive service offering.

Allrounders for powder processing Arburg machines for the processing of powder materials differ from the standard Allrounders for plastics processing in their highly wear-resistant cylinder module, the screw geometry, which is especially adapted to powder injection moulding, and the position regulated screw. This ensures a high level of precision and reproducibility, as the injection process can quickly be speeded up and slowed down again.
