ANDRITZ to supply hardening and tempering plant for railway wheels to the Czech Republic

(PresseBox) (Graz, ) ANDRITZ Maerz, an affiliate of international technology Group ANDRITZ, has received an order to supply a hardening and tempering plant for railway wheels to Bonatrans Group a.s. in Bohumín, Czech Republic. Startup of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2011.

The scope of supply includes an integrated, fully automatic heat treatment system that can temper 66 railway wheels per hour. ANDRITZ Maerz will provide three furnaces for high and medium temperature applications, as well as hardening and cooling equipment. With this plant, Bonatrans Group a.s. will mainly produce heavyduty railway wheels for the world market, meeting the highest demands in terms of technological properties.

Following successful equipment deliveries to railway wheel manufacturers in Germany and Russia, this order strengthens ANDRITZ Maerz's market leadership as a supplier of complex heat treatment and tempering plants.
