Data Capturing to Go!

(PresseBox) (Wiener Neustadt, ) With it's recently completed project in Malaysia, Airborne Technologies strikes a new path in the matter of flexibility in Data Capturing.

Until now the operating radius has been limited by long distance ferry flights that dominate the costs especially for the exploration of small areas. With a temporary sensor integration on site into a locally based aircraft, AIRBORNE TECHNOLOGIES met the requirements and could offer a cost-efficient and flexible solution.

Mario Rathmanner, Director Data Acquisition & Processing of AIRBORNE TECHNOLOGIES: "With this kind of local and temporary Sensor Integration we can handle also small projects and operate worldwide. We only have to send our sensor integration kit and an operator who handles the sensor system and advises the pilot. So we have the ability to reduce the high ferry flight costs down to an airline ticket. Flight planning and data processing has not necessarily be conducted on site."

In Malaysia, this spring, AIRBORNE TECHNOLOGIES collaborated with Wan Ibnul Bahar, of WIB Integrated Sciences. Goal of the project was the detection of infrastructure of a forested area in order to get information to justify infrastructure design including road access and waterways. The knowledge of the actual slope degrees supports the qualified preservation of forests in steep terrain. According to Wan Ibnul Bahar, the captured DTM Data and ortophotos will also be used in the GIS database.

With this local Sensor Integration, AIRBORNE TECHNOLOGIES laid the foundation for cost-effective worldwide operations.
