Dr Benoît Derat, Senior Director for Systems & Antenna-Based Solutions at Rohde & Schwarz
Benoît Derat joined Rohde & Schwarz in 2017 and is currently leading the research and development for EMC, over the air (OTA), antenna, and A&D test systems as the Senior Director of Engineering. Prior to this, he worked with SAGEM Mobiles as an Antenna Design and Electromagnetics Research Engineer. During these years, he gained expertise in antenna measurements and simulations and actively contributed to international standardization of near-field techniques for assessment of human exposure to radio frequency waves. In 2009, he founded the company ART-Fi, which created the first vector-array SAR measurement system. He is the author of more than 70 scientific conference and journal papers and an inventor of close to 30 patents relating to antenna and electromagnetic field measurements.
