ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH took part at the invitation of Wacker Chemie AG on the 2nd expert forum Technical silicones in Burghausen this year. For ViscoTec this was the first time attending this event, with the opportunity to present as an exhibitor the current products in the field of material preparation and dosing of silicones.
There were two days of intensive exchange of experience and ideas with the attending speakers and visitors. After the welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Peter Yershov, Director Business Team Industrial Solutions, Wacker Chemie AG, numerous lectures of various companies around the topic Technical Silicones - from material properties to processing - followed.
Between the presentations, the visitors were informed directly by the exhibitors at their information desks. ViscoTec presented suitable dosing systems for processing of silicones for bonding and sealing applications: The treatment system ViscoTreat-Inline allows a constant and reliable product supply without interruption e.g. by a change of the container, as well as an optimal preparation of the medium on the production process. Based on the barrel emptying system ViscoMT-XS it could be illustrated how adhesives and sealants can be removed optimally from packaging units for further processing. With the product ViscoDuo-VM a suitable 2-component dosing system for precise dosing of silicones was presented.
For ViscoTec this platform was a profit in any way. In the intensive exchange of experience with the participants both new insights in the development and processing of silicones could be gained and own experiences to interested users could be passed.
