German Federal Employment Agency Selects USU AG

(PresseBox) (Möglingen, 09.12.2010) USU AG has been awarded the contract for a project placed out to bid throughout Europe by the German Federal Employment Agency. In addition to software licenses for the USU products Valuemation Costing & Charging Manager and Planning & Calculation Manager, the contract also covers maintenance and consulting services. The purpose of the project is to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and mid-term planning for IT services and resources by means of a standard software expressly designed for this purpose. This system will support the acquisition, management and control of data used in budgeting resources for IT operation, system development and projects. The deployment of this system is intended to significantly decrease processing efforts and to increase the efficiency and cost transparency of associated workflows. The project, which started at the beginning of November 2010, will be implemented in phases during the first half of 2011.

In implementing the “Financial Management of Information Technology at the Federal Employment Agency” project, USU will supply the government agency with a readily accessible standard solution for cost accounting/performance analysis, IT calculations, budgeting and financial planning. As part of the consolidation of existing IT systems, Valuemation will serve as the central control instrument for handling complex IT financial management. At this time, specialized workshops and training courses are being held to support the coming deployment. Step-by-step over the coming months, the three sub-disciplines for calculation, planning and cost accounting/performance analysis will be gradually implemented and then “go live”.
