At the end of March the two software companies, United Planet and dataglobal, entered into a strategic partnership. Now the adapter, which was jointly developed and allows the seamless connection of the portal and integration software Intrexx with the archiving system dg hyparchive, is complete.
dg hyparchive is one of the most widely used solutions for unified archiving. Data from various sources such as mail, file, ERP or CRM systems can be entered into the archive in any form and set in relation to each other. The archive acts, therefore as a central area for storing data, ensures the consistence of data and manages its retention period.
The 'Intrexx Business Adapter for dg hyparchive' now allows for this stored data to be used in Intrexx portals. This means that the data can be incorporated into workflows and applications which are adapted to the specific requirements of the company. With the Intrexx' process engine, companies can have flexible control over documents as well as the ability to present them web-based in an attractive and intuitive manner.
At the same time new data, which is created in the portal application, can automatically be converted into long-term compatible formats PDF/A or TIFF, assigned to the original and stored directly in the archive. This archive controls the deletion and retention periods in a rule-based manner, thus complying with legal standards.
The comprehensive data integration capabilities of Intrexx should extensively widen the amount of possible ways that dg hyparchive can be used. According to Katrin Beuthner, CEO at United Planet, an example of a possible use case could be an automated auditing system. "The corresponding workflow can be easily created in Intrexx, the invoice itself is stored in dg hyparchive and the final account can run in SAP because Intrexx also provides corresponding interfaces with this solution." By attaching an OCR software the process can be automated even further. With this faster method of auditing, companies could receive payment discounts and would also not have to worry about fines, thanks to the overall compliance with legal provisions.
