TGW Logistics Group, the international systems integrator for logistics solutions headquartered in Wels, Austria, announces the foundation of a new subsidiary in Switzerland. The new office will be managed by Thomas Kretz, Beat Losenegger and Peter Tobler, with long experience in systems integration and the material handling industry. The new subsidiary is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland.
"Switzerland is a very interesting market for automated material handling solutions and offers great potential to TGW", states Georg Kirchmayr, President of TGW Logistics Group, an international solution provider for logistics systems based in Austria. "Our aim is to support clients in Switzerland with our services as general contractor. With this we are filling the white spots on the map." As hitherto, TGW focuses on a combination of local expert knowledge and international TGW know-how for expanding into Switzerland.

The experts Beat Losenegger, Thomas Kretz and Peter Tobler, will be leading the new Swiss subsidiary to success with a small team. "It is our goal to establish TGW as a competent system provider with overall responsibility", says Thomas Kretz. In Rotkreuz in the Zug canton, Switzerland, TGW will open a new subsidiary of TGW Systems Integration. As from January 2012, TGW will work on its general contractor competencies in the Swiss market. At the same time, TGW extends its radius of influence. A very important and new aspect in the Swiss subsidiary will be the shuttle competency. As a personal goal, the team would like to use their material handling know-how for the new TGW office, "Due to high infrastructure and wage costs, goods-to-person solutions are a very interesting field in Switzerland. Compared to foreign competitors, the Swiss invests more into automated projects. Especially, for highly dynamic systems on reduced footprint", explains Peter Tobler.

Peter Tobler has been working in the automated material handling industry since 1997, first dealing with postal systems, since 2003 in the industrial sector. Thomas Kretz started his logistics career in 1997, too, when he was awarded the project lead of the biggest Swiss material handling project at this time. Beat Losenegger has been working in the sector for 30 years and collected valuable experiences in intensively working on various projects. The team has already worked together for many years, now they are looking forward to the TGW reunion.
