Dr. Per Kleinschmidt has started as COO of the Solarlite Group on June 11, 2012. This position was created to expand and reinforce the executive management of the fast-grwoing company. Dr. Per Kleinschmidt will focus his attention on production and project management in Thailand.
Solarlite GmbH has appointed Dr. Per Kleinschmidt to join the executive management of the Solarlite Group starting on June 11, 2012. He will assume the position of COO alongside the firm's current executives, Joachim Krüger (CEO) und Moritz von Plate (CFO). By adding this position, Solarlite is preparing for an impending growth spurt. The firm has recently signed contracts for a total of seven solar thermal parabolic trough plants for an overall output of 46 MWel. Dr. Per Kleinschmidt will be responsible for developing the required structures, resources, and processes in the firm's main market, Thailand. At the same time, he will continue to work on project management and actively help improve production processes. The ultimate objective is to prepare the Solarlite Group for expansion into new markets.

Dr. Per Kleinschmidt, 44, will be in charge of production, project management and procurement within the Solarlite Group. He will be located at the firm's production site in Thailand. Dr. Per Kleinschmidt has over ten years of experience in the oil, gas and energy industry at international firms, including MAN, Alstom, Linde, Statoil, E.ON. In his most recent position at MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, he was Head of the Site Management Department and oversaw site development of EPC projects around the world. He began his professional career at a construction company. Previously, he was a research associate at the University of Munich. Dr. Per Kleinschmidt studied civil engineering at the University of Stuttgart and earned his doctorate at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
