The material has numerous advantages over the conventional polycarbonate, including greater stability when exposed to extreme temperatures and harsh chemicals as well as 50% greater shock resistance. The snap-action switches are therefore suitable for use wherever impact forces require materials to withstand a great deal of shock. But the S9xx series is not only ideal for use in printing equipment: these versatile components are also impervious to saltwater spray and salty solutions, making them highly suitable for offshore applications such as in the wind power sector.
