The GENEO family offers efficiency without any compromises

When choosing the right windows and doors, building developers would be well advised to opt for a system that provides a harmonious, stylish overall concept. Windows, front doors and lift/slide doors made from GENEO profiles are an efficient, long-lasting option to be fitted in door and window aperatures during the construction process. No compromises are made in terms of thermal insulation, sound insulation, break-in protection or convenience.

There are many systems available on the market for windows, but there is only one GENEO. This fiber-reinforced system, which can largely dispense with steel reinforcement, is a firm fixture of the window market and has become the go-to choice for numerous construction projects. This is primarily due to its unique performance values, which are ensured through the high-tech material RAU-FIPRO.

No compromises

Today, high thermal insulation ratings are a fundamental requirement. In all applications without steel, GENEO achieves a Uf value of 0.85 W/m²K without any limitations with regard to soundproofing or break-in protection. Even if special installation projects require the use of reinforcements, GENEO has a Uf value of 0.98 W/m2K without the need for additional insulation measures. The version of GENEO subjected to extensive testing and certified by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt even manages to achieve a Uf value of up to 0.79 W/m2K.

GENEO attains these optimum values without making any compromises. As such, maximum sound insulation to absorption class 5 is possible even when fully thermally insulated. As far as break-in protection is concerned, the system has a rating of resistance class 2 without the use of steel. Low care and maintenance requirements thanks to high-quality HDF (high-density fiberboard) surfaces and an optimum sealing concept for maximum closing pressure combine to offer an excellent level of convenience.

Energy efficiency meets design

Even curved window elements are no problem for the RAU-FIPRO material, whose properties offer superb malleability and unparalleled stability. Customers can also choose from a broad range of colors. Whether one opts for foil lamination (wood decors, plain colours) or paint finishes, all variants are weather-resistant, not susceptible to environmental influences and highly lightfast. Aluminum wall facings are another design option. Snapped onto the profiles and with no further measures required, these facings offer a virtually unlimited number of design variations for windows and doors. Thanks to this option, it is easy to adjust aluminum facades to create a visually cohesive whole.

Large-scale elements

Where other systems reach their limits, GENEO continues to offer an impressive performance in terms of size, convenience and streamlined facing widths thanks to its high-tech material and patented integrated IVS reinforcement system. For example, one-piece windows of a height and width of 1.45 meters are possible. Lift/slide doors measuring 10 meters in size can be manufactured when using GENEO profiles. GENEO’s streamlined profile faces are ideal for large-scale glass surfaces, thereby enabling significant amounts of solar energy to be generated via incoming sunlight.

Stable and light

RAU-FIPRO gives GENEO such a high level of stability that steel reinforcement is not required for many applications. This makes the process significantly easier for window specialists in that less steel has to be ordered, paid for, stored and handled. It is also better for fitters, who no longer have to contend with the weight of a heavy core – windows made of GENEO profiles are approximately 40 percent lighter than conventional windows. This makes transport and installation significantly easier.

A system for all building openings

As a system specialist, REHAU has harnessed the numerous benefits of GENEO to create the GENEO front door and lift/slide door system. This is a solution that enables building developers to close all building openings in an efficient, long-lasting manner.

The GENEO front door system, which is certified to passive house standards, boasts an outstanding Ud value of up to 0.50 W/m2K. Three circumferential sealing layers also protect against drafts, dust and humidity. Individual requirements regarding sound insulation, break-in protection and barrier-free construction can be met with the minimum of fuss thanks to the fully reinforced GENEO front door system. Furthermore, a range of color and design options guarantees an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

The GENEO lift/slide system allows for lift/slide door elements with thermal insulation values according to passive house standards. At the same time, there are virtually no limits to the scope of design. Smooth, weather-resistant surfaces can be achieved through film lamination and on the exterior of the building using aluminum wall facings. The extremely resilient and dimensionally stable RAU-FIPRO enables door sashes of up to 2.7 meters in height and with a weight of up to 400 kilograms.
