OPEN MIND calls trade fair in Seoul a major success
Koreans show interest in hyperMILL® CAM software

OPEN MIND, together with local sales partners OPEN SOLUTION and SAMWOOHYPER, exhibited their products at SIMTOS in Seoul. The six-day trade fair for tool manufacturing and manufacturing technology ended on 22 April after receiving 111,000 visitors - 30,000 more than in 2010.
OPEN MIND exhibited workpieces machined using hyperMILL® in order to illustrate the particular capabilities of its software. Impellers and joint prostheses clearly showed trade visitors the high surface qualities that can be achieved in complex parts and materials using hyperMILL® machining strategies. Visitors were awed by the universal CAM solution, the 2D, 3D, HSC and 5axis and mill/turn machining combined under a single user interface, not to mention speedy programming with numerous special applications and intelligent macros. The live milling demonstrations with machine partners Doosan, Hyundai and DMG made the presentation even more impressive. This direct display of practical expertise clearly demonstrated OPEN MIND's special focus on the entire process chain. OPEN MIND places a lot of value on seamless integration in leading CAD systems such as SolidWorks® or Autodesk® Inventor®, and indeed on the optimal implementation of machining paths in machines. The CAD/CAM software manufacturer has developed its own postprocessors for almost all CNC machines and tailors them to individual customer requirements.
