B J Ball Papers, one of New Zealand's leading paper merchants and mill agents, has purchased a Pemco high precision folio-size sheeter type SHM 1650 Dual Rotary (DR) through Graph-Pak Pty Ltd. Graph-Pak is the official sales agent of Pemco, a U.S. based company within the Körber PaperLink Group. Pemco is specialized on folio-size sheeters and packaging solutions for the cut-size industry.
"The investment by B J Ball Papers in leading edge sheeter technology will place them into the top spot," says Tom Ralph, Managing Director of Graph-Pak. "They will have a highly advanced paper and board sheeter equipped with full automation and an E.C.H. Will dual rotary cutting head with AC vector drive. Those components will offer the cleanest and most accurate cut length sheets in this region".
The SHM 1650 DR is equipped with shaftless roll stands and side by side reel processing capability. A dancer tensioning control system offers ultimate stability of the substrates at high speed. The machine has been fitted out with a fully automated stacker, which will supply press ready pallets of sheeted product and also has a non-stop pallet change system to complete the automation.
Another feature of B J Ball Papers' SHM sheeter specification is independent automatic web guidance allowing the processing of centre slit rolls with no need for edge trim to be taken thus reducing waste to an absolute minimum.
