Ingram Micro EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), a division of Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the largest global wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain management services, today announced it has acquired Albora Soluciones, a valueadded distribution company headquartered in Barcelona, Spain with offices in Madrid and Lisbon, Portugal.
Through this purchase Ingram Micro EMEA is further strengthening its capabilities in Virtualization, Security and Middleware Solutions which gives the company additional competitive advantage as well as market scale and expertise.

In recent months Ingram Micro EMEA has announced it has strengthened its capabilities in the value space right across Europe, including through the acquisition of CCD, the leading distributor of midtier enterprise products with a respected 22years of experience in the UK market built on a strong HP franchise. Furthermore, in the first half of 2010 Ingram Micro EMEA expanded its HP value portfolio with Business Critical Systems agreements in Sweden and Hungary, adding to existing HP value agreements in Belgium and Spain. During this time the company has also secured the IBM power server and highend storage business in Germany, giving further strength to the value business in this significant market.
Albora will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ingram Micro EMEA. The terms of the transaction, including purchase price, were not disclosed.
