These three elementary door damper functions marry convenience, security and a discreet door appearance. If a door is opened with full swing, GEZE ActiveStop halts the door in good time. No door stoppers are needed on the door or the wall. After slowing down gently, the system opens the door independently and safely as far as the stopping position, which can be set individually between 60 to 140 degrees. This means the door is particularly easy to walk through – a welcome benefit, especially if your hands are full. Furthermore, unattractive traces or damage to walls or furniture are prevented. This applies equally to the door itself, for example if it draws a lot during ventilation and the door threatens to slam shut in uncontrollably. Compact in size and measuring just 28 millimetres wide, the door damper can be integrated virtually invisibly into the door leaf. It is easy to install it manually in the door leaf with minor milling. End-users receive a complete door system and only have to set the desired back check and opening angle. The individually adjustable opening angle, and damping level that can be set via a valve, ensure the system can be adapted to any door situation. Because the door remains closed on its own, no lock latch is necessary.
