Walter Hammel, eyevis‘ latest addition to its sales team, will develop the market segment of passenger information systems for eyevis. As of now, Hammel - with his impressive 30+ years of experience – will supervise the area of information displays at for example train stations and airports. eyevis thus further strengthens its business area and puts great emphasis on information displays in public spaces.

eyevis offers a complete portfolio for high-resolution large-scale video systems, which comprises LCD technology, but also rear projection and LED display boards. Suitable controlling solutions and signal processing are further strong suits of the German manufacturer. These components can be combined to create tailor-made display solutions for check-in counters, display boards in departures and arrivals halls, the display of train schedules at train stations and many more.
Thanks to its many years of experience in the projection area, eyevis can cater to every customer’s needs. System integration starts with its integration in already existing structures, also comprises the integration into substructures and suspensions and does not end there for proper custom-built solutions.
LED as a forerunner
Hammel expects a technological shift in his area of business: “LED technology comes with so many advantages compared to the thus far implemented LCD solutions, that the market will largely transition towards LEDs in the medium run!“ Thanks to their nominal pixel pitch, the resolution of eyevis LED modules is almost as fine as we know it from LCD displays. However, LEDs are considerably more durable; with 100,000 operating hours their operating life is twice as long as that of LCD technology. Further advantages are its extremely high luminosity of up to 6000 cd/m², due to which the displays lend themselves for outdoor usage, all the while being extraordinarily energy-efficient. Burn-in effects are also a thing of the past with LED modules, which is why this technology is the perfect basis for the reliable 24/7 operation of displays.
