The ContiTech Power Transmission Group has thoroughly overhauled its information material, ranging from technical know-how to the product range, for the automotive aftermarket. The "Belts and components. Technology - Know-how - Tips" publication provides comprehensive technical know-how on all aspects of belt drives. Two compact brochures also introduce the product and tool ranges and highlight the benefits and features of belts, water pumps etc. All three publications can be downloaded with immediate effect as a PDF at www.contitech.de/aam-dl-en and can shortly be ordered from ContiTech's Media Service at contitech.de/mediaservice.

Multimedia and Practical: Brochure Explains Belt Drive

ContiTech summarizes the key features of belt drives - with multimedia assistance. The new "Belts and components. Technology - Know-how - Tips" brochure provides an overview of belts and belt drive components and how to make optimal use of them. It is available with immediate effect to workshops, apprentice workshops, apprentices and drivers with an interest in the engineering involved. ContiTech provides an optimal supplement to the brochure with augmented reality content, i.e. computer-aided animations which faithfully display the components on a smartphone.

Using clear graphics and understandable texts, the brochure explains how power is transmitted via the belt - and how belt pulleys, idlers and water pumps are designed. Readers can learn the causes of cracks or tears in the belt, lost teeth or seized pulleys or idlers - and how to avoid such faults in future. At corresponding locations a special app enables users to access three-dimensional graphics which can be rotated and moved, call up exploded drawings and view animated videos. The approx. 40-page "Belts and components - The product range" brochure (order nos. 8620 EN and 8620 DE) focuses on ContiTech products. Each product is explained on a separate page - by experts, for experts. In addition to information on important product features and technical details, the publication also offers a quick and convenient overview of the whole product range. The user-friendly tab function will enable anyone looking for a particular product quickly to track it down successfully.

The offering is rounded off by the approx. 30-page "Measuring and Fitting Tools for professional belt replacement" brochure (order nos. 8622 EN and 8622 DE). These provide workshop professionals with all the information on the tools which ContiTech offers for changing belts. The two brochures also contain a brief introduction to ContiTech's digital services - the Product Information Center (PIC) and the Technical Instructions. The linking feature in the brochures is an appealing line of photos together with graphical elements which visually highlight the products' special qualities.
