Fluid Innovations from ContiTech for eco-friendly logistics solutions
Reducing emissions and sparing natural resources: SCR and biofuel lines - Efficient air-conditioning system
ContiTech has developed a heatable hose line module on EPDM basis specifically for this purpose. The latest generation has heated quick connectors with optimized contacting, guaranteeing that the medium always thaws, even up close to the plug-in connection.
Optimized air-conditioning lines Nowadays a machine's fuel and ecological footprint is just as important as its performance data, ease of operation and usability value. ContiTech Fluid Technology engineers, who have long since been working on achieving solutions that are as high-performance as they are eco-friendly, have thus taken another close look at conventional air-conditioning systems. The entire spectrum of ContiTech products for air-conditioning systems was reviewed and practically reinvented. Because ultimately, air-conditioning systems play a significant role in overall fuel economy.
The new ECO AC refrigerant circulation system from ContiTech offers enormous optimization potential for air-conditioning units - from a performance upgrade and lower consumption through to reduced pressure losses and enhanced design. Less refrigerant is required for this lighter-weight model. Just using the inner heat exchanger (IHE) increases efficiency by around five percent since it cools the refrigerant without using additional energy. Alongside this in-line solution, the Conti Eco Compact XR also sports a tightly sized, low-cost heat exchanger alternative developed in-house at ContiTech.
Conserving resources With fossil fuels moving toward depletion, the trend is clearly in the direction of renewable resources. This is why ContiTech pursued the development of polyamide lines early on, since they can withstand pure rapeseed oil and biodiesel (RME), yet can also be used with conventional diesel fuel. So these, too, are products that are designed for a setting of heightened environmental awareness. ContiTech is consistently committed to this goal when it comes to surface protection as well. The company replaces chromium 6, which poses possible health risks, with a zinc-based coating, which even improves the corrosion protection.
